urban myths

not sure whether this is the right category but i just wondered if anyone had heard this urban myth.

friend gets onto a tube train late at night and its pretty deserted except for 3 people, 2 men sat either side of an elderly woman. she sits down opposite them adn looks at the woman who is staring straight at her and continues to do so. so the girl starts to feel uncomfortable and gets up and moves down the train. next stop a man gets on and sits in a similar position and then also moves and comes to the girl and says "I'm not being funny but get off at the next stop with me" she did and he said that the old woman was dead.

has anyone else heard this because I thought it was true (embarrassed smile) but if its cropping up all over it can't be the one girl. also if anyone has any other good ones I'd like to hear them. thanks

www.snopes.com is the best website for urban myths; they look into your one here and conclude it's 'of indeterminate origin'.

I LOVE the lobster story.  Where she gives birth to 1000 tiny lobsters!  GREAT stuff.  Maybe we should put one up in news and see if anyone spots it!:-p
