Me and my boyfriend were watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer (sad but true) and my boyfriend mentioned that a vampire would be able to get out of the cage he was locked in because they have superhuman strength! (obviously they aren't real but in myth is this true?) I was under the impression they were normal humans with fangs and a taste for blood and an aversion to garlic! Any thought?

In the Buffy "mythology" vampires have super strength, otherwise why would Buffy need to have superhuman strength? they become stronger the older the they are. So it depends on the size and thickness of bars :0)
