He then did a all-country tour, using his film.
This was re engineered and broadcast about ten years ago.
They had interviews with people whose parents or who themselves were in the shows
He ALSO has a blue-plaque in a back street in central Brighton
There was a lot of litigation around mmovies at this time
and Friese green was one of the losers.

ah there is an anwer to the walking speed bit.
The old black and white telly frame refresh rate was I think 30/s
and this was appreciably faster than the clockwork frame rate of the old cine films
so they just showed it at 30 / s and everything was faster.
and now they have got over the problem.
IN fact see the other thread - the colour film was Frieze Green's own and used two colours which is appreciably less colourful [or good] than some of the others. He used a faster frame rate - see wiki - but there were alternating green and red frames and the flicker was a real problem at the time.
I seem to recollect that it was so bad that some people puked
all that has been ironed out
IN fact the film is the the last part of the open road and is posted on U tube
