Does anyone know where I can find a good architect near Bishop's Stortford. I am planning a fairly large extension to a listed building, but don't really know where to start. Thanks

I would either ask around (personal recommendation is a really good thing) or take quotes and references from local companies. As you have a listed building you need an expert who understands the limitations. I wonder if this site might help http://www.listedbuildingsurveys.co.uk/surveys_services.php
Here's a list of registered architects in our town. Look at their websites in turn and see if you can see a similar job to yours amongst them.

We used Terence C Burton for an extension to our modern house. I have no idea what experience he has with listed buildings though, but he was very good.
