O.k So because you got up half a day later a week is only 7.5 days. Sooooooo, that means that if someone gets up half a day sooner then it would be 8.5 days or just 8 or something right.

Question Author
No I think if someone got up half a day before they had to it would be stupid! But in theory, if they did get up half a day sooner, they would have a whole day ahead of them, and so there would still be eight days.
If they got up half a day sooner they would have a day and a half ahead of them.  Add that to the 7 and a half days that are already in the week and you have a nine day week.  Better of staying in bed and losing a day and a half.

I know Octavius, and I am off work today with a swollen knee, so is this still last week or is it the first day of my new week, as I havn't gone in to work I am confused.  And what about the Bank Holiday! I get time & a half for that!
On Monday you can say, ''The day after tomorrow we can say-the day afyer tomorrow is FRIDAY, Hooray.''
I retired recently and now my weeks are made up of Tomorrow. e.g. "when are you going to.............?" "Tomorrow". Early retirement is splendiferous. Start campaigning for yours, er.........tomorrow.
