Thank you Mosaic but this site does not show the necessary information. My initial question was not explicit enough. There were three LSIs in Force S that took infantry to land on Sword beach. They were SS Empire Battleaxe, Empire Broadsword, Empire Cutlass and HMS Glenearn. One of the Empire class carried the South Lancs prior to boarding LCAs for the assault. It was not HMS Glenearn but one of the Empire class so which one was it and from which South coast port did she sail. The only information I have is from the Operation Neptune document which gives the details of all naval forces for the appropriate beaches and this does not show the 'passenger' lists. I hope that this can help.

Thank you Mosaic. I emailed the museum and had an automatic reply saying that the museum is in the last stage of reorganisation so a reply will be delayed. Why did.t I think of the museum before - I'm getting old. Regards to all who helped.
