why were Italian people who lived in UK during the 1914-1918 war interned as Aliens on the Isle of Man

They were interned near Leigh Lancashire too, and at White City Dog Track I believe.
I'll be watching this one, because the Italians were on our side in that war.

I think you may be confusing WW1 with WW2!

In WW1 Italy was on our side,so NO Italians were interned.

In WW2 Italy was NOT on our side so Italians WERE interned.
