There is a cleaner that comes around every evening at work. He is a nice enough guy, but he tends to talk to himself. Maybe I shouldn't, but I find it fascinating listening to him. He keeps repeating the same mumblings to him self over and over. Maybe somebody has over filled the bin, and things like that start him off.
The worrying point is, I have realised is my own thought process is quite similar to his (but not out loud). If I 'listen' to myself 'think', I often find I repeat the same thought over and over, like some sort of a rehearsal! Any body find the same, or is it just me?
I think there is also a link to dreaming here. They say you often have the same dream over and over in the same night. That's why dreams can sometimes feel familiar. It's a way the brain is trying out slightly different scenarios to find an 'acceptable' outcome. Any thoughts?

Almost a way of reassuring oneself that information will not be lost. I myself have a terrible memory and I find myself mulling things over in my mind for hours, sometimes days!
I don't know about you but I find it does my head in sometimes! :~?
