Quite a steal, and given what house prices are nearer London but what would you do with the space?

Something must be wrong with it....I'm surprised a developer hasn't jumped on it for a hotel or to divide it up into six or seven apartments.

DTC yes "cheap" to start with, but can you imagine upkeep costs on house + the 5 acres of land

DTC and the rest probably nearer £120K per annum with refurb, upkeep and staff. But nice place if you win the lottery?

I know that one, DTC. I used to live in Bideford. That's a lot of house for the money.

I guess it's bound to be listed. What they don't mention is all the restrictions that may have been imposed on it. It's possibly not practicable to try and convert it to something useful.

Goodness there are 4 bedroom houses going near me for that money - mind you they probably don't have the headless woman banging on the ceilings at midnight :-))
