I would like, if possible to download this song. The rendition I am after was recorded pre 1950 (thats when I accidentally broke the old 78 record my father had) It has been recorded many times by northern folk singers but the one I am after was sung in a real old Geordie dialect as mentioned pre 1950.

Many thanks b1 3thy. Not the same recording on the record I broke but very enjoyable. Brought back many memories. Sorry about the incorrect spelling of Lambton , I am the only one of an old Geordie family to be born and live in London.
Do you have any info on a similar northern song "Brown Boots" re a mourner who goes to a funeral in brown boots and gets sneered at. It turns out he gave his best pair of shoes (black) to someone who didnt have any shoes at all.
