wise up and spend your money somewhere else . i would never set foot in a muslim country again ( for a holiday ) just not worth the risk .

Turkey is a Muslim country.
Anywhere could be next - but I agree with you. Islamic countries that rely heavily on tourism for their economy are probably best avoided.
hc, I think he's saying Turkey will be the next.
Agreed. Even Turkey is no longer a consideration for me.Shame. I liked the Turks. At least Attaturk advanced them out the stoneage.
Looking back at my long haul holidays they have just about all been to Muslim pun tries and will continue to be in all likelihood.
Not for me.
Avoid Bradfordstan, Boltonstan and Leicesteramabad then, diesel!
Pun tries = countries
Ha ha DT.

A feisty post for a first. Welcome to AB, Llamagirl.
I wouldn't go. I don't even like going to London.
Llamagirl, you don't owe them anything...
Kenya is not a majority Muslim country by quite a margin - I lived there for a while so I know. On the other hand, like several other countries they have suffered atrocities at the hands of those claiming to represent their god.
Turkey has already been attacked, has it not?
hc, Turkey has seen many incidents, but I don't think a major tourist resort has been targeted and tourists killed. I might be wrong, but I can't remember that happening.
Lived in Kenya and visited Egypt back in 1984, great then But different now.
I paid US $10 for 3 nights bed & breakfast in a Cairo hotel which included a taxi from the airport, a visit to the Pyramids with lunch and a night at a belly dancing club.
Diesel, as I recall you spend a fair amount of time in Thailand. Has there not been a number of terrorist attacks there too?
Ha ha Dt - really?

Not clever, not funny, not original.
I agree if I travelled far afield there are places I'd most likely avoid - I think some get lulled into a sense of security when they are in holiday mode.
