British POWs in Sachsenhausen
1 Answers
UKTV had a programme where there were three brit POWs who were escapers who ended up in Sachsenhausen, mined out and then were returned there.
Does any one have an info on PoWs who were not in PoW camps - I thought it was made clear by the brits that if the Germans did that, and the Brits won the war, they would shoot them.
hence my father was threatened with a concentration camp and did not take it seriously

Someone very dear to me was a British (female) POW incarcerated at the Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camp near Nordhausen, weighed five and a half stone when released by the Americans and died six weeks later despite the best ever at the time medical attention by several doctors and surgeons (and nursing staff) that the Americans could give her.
