When was the last beheading in England. Also, when did being hung, drawn and quartering end in england and who was the last unlucky person to meet such a fate?

from www.24hourmuseum.org.uk  The last beheading at an execution in Britain occurred accidentally at Norwich Castle in 1885 when Robert Goodale was hanged for the murder of his wife. But when the trap-door opened the noose severed his head!

this is copied from badlad's link: 1st May 1820. Last hanging drawing and quartering - that of the Cato Street conspirators for treason outside Newgate. They were in fact only drawn to the gallows and then hanged and beheaded, the quartering being omitted.

The first fella Robt Goodale I think was too heavily weighted, so the noose didnt exactly decapitate him, but more pulled his head off.
