Does anyone know what the marriageable age was in England in 1912?

The marriagable age of sixteen, for both sexes, was set at sixteen in 1933, before that, there wasn't a definable age, but fourteen was the generally accepted age.

Thank you Chessman. Would parental permission be required at 14, do you know?
Hi ,my father married in 1923 aged 18 and he had to have parental permission .Hope this helps a bit .
