Halloween is celebrated in much of the Western world, though most commonly in the United States, the British Isles, Canada and sometimes in Australia and New Zealand. Irish, Scots and other immigrants brought older versions of the tradition to North America in the 19th century. Most other Western countries have embraced Halloween as a part of American pop culture in the late 20th century.

In other cultures it is compared with festivals of the dead see Ching Ming Festival (China) Obon Festival (Japan) El Da de los Muertosor Day of the Dead (Mexico)Halloween (United Kingdom, United States).

If you explore those alternatives you should find other ways of celebrating it.

Tis celebrated a la American way in Germany too. Probably far more popular here in Germany than in England (not sure about rest of UK).
hmmm......halloween originated in Endland! anywayz well i'm from Australia and halloween isn't a verry big deal here like ok some people go around trick or treating but not realy...i say i'v ever trick or treated once or twice? yeh its not that big
In England people tend to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night more than Hallowe'en, hence why I said that it wasn't celebrated as much. Guy Fawkes Night, or Bonfire Night, is on 5 November.
