There are only a few posts from me this past cupple of weeks cos I used other arm.
Three weeks ago I lifted a monster of an upright hoover that said it was light from Amazon.
I lifted it out and was testing it on the carpet when something in my back went. The following day (Sat) I was in the most excruciating pain that I ever felt in my life.
I have broken bones throughout my body but this was unbelievable. I suffered and may I say I literally moaned 24 hours - night and day. Couldn't get my right arm in a comfortable position. It was up and down and round my head - was awful. Went to 3 Osteopaths as I thought that was ok but I needed to get to an Osteopath. 3 fellas all said I had a trapped nerve in my neck. The excruciating pain soared down my back and across to my shoulder - then resonated down my arm and wrist and pins and needles in 3 fingers. I walked the floor - I got an appointment with my doctor who immediately gave me a letter for an X-ray in the local hospital. So have to wait until results come back.
Every time I wanted to use the computer when I put my hand on the mouse - I literally fell back because of the violent electric shocks soaring up my arm. Thank God I am able to use the mouse now but pain is still in shoulder - I am wearing a neck brace and a tight bandage on my arm. I hope I never go through that pain ever ever again. Sorry I just wanted to let you know never lift heavy objects. That night of the hoover business - nephew was up and I told him to keep it or throw it away. Awful Awful

At the time I was doing a lot on ebay and needed to use the computer a great deal. I had the same issue and couldn't point my finger and operate the mouse. The problem was overcome by getting myself a keyboard that has a scroll pad... funnily enough I have never used a mouse since.
God knows what I done Alba - I am a quick moving person - my mother called me and my brother - a bull in a China shop. But that hoover was like a 500cc engine.
But Thank God I'm on the mend - the fact I can now type is a big improvement.
Anne - result will come in a week's time. God there are 1,000s in a hospital - all in different departments - unbelievable.
I have paid private for osteopathy but I have been paying into a scheme from I was 16 and I talked to them this morning and they said if I get a letter and the result from the doctor they may do more osteopathy. I have heard they now have a "mechanical" hand - I'd love to try that. Anyway that's my saga.
