what will the earth's geography be like in 1,000 years, 10,000 years? will the earth's centre ever cool down? will we still have a suitable planet to live on?

Some low lying island nations will disappear in less than that. Rising Water levels will flood areas which are at sea level or just above so some coastlines will be a bit different. This of course is based on global warming continuing. If we experience a change in the solar cycle called a Maunder Minimum however the cooling effect could result in replenishment of the polar ice and a temporary reversal. Most other changes are too slow to have much impact over thousands of years . Tectonic plate movement takes millions of years to achieve anything interesting.

Yes the world will cool eventually thousands of millions of years probably but I doubt humans will survive to even notice it happening.
We will either be extinct, or moved out into the universe.

Unless climate change is very dramatic, my guess is that over such short timescales, change would be minimal. (Wonder if we'll have a pole flip by then ?)

will the centre cool down - er yeah - BUT you have to decide what is keeping it warm ( processes ) as that will affect the rate of cooling

All of these things will change, but on timescales rather greater than thousands of years.

It is possible that the earth's magnetic field could "flip" any time now and would do so quickly. http://www.bbc.com/earth/story/20141110-earths-magnetic-field-flips-more' This would seriously affect communications and other processes using electricity and radiation.

Contrary to what rowanwitch posted, the Earth won't cool in thousands of millions of years. By then the Sun will have increased in power output so much that the oceans will evaporate into space.

give or take some indistinguishable tectonic plate movements and an inch or so on the odd mountain, very little. The centre of the earth will not noticably cool down in the time it has left, approx 4billion years. 10,000 years is too small a time to make any noticeable differences.
