So what was before the dark matter

Nothing ? I hear you say ?

Lol
Before dark matter there was whatever suits anyone's agenda or view.

I doubt there will ever be concrete proof of any of it, just theories made understandable for mere mortals by Stevie Wheels and Professor Gorgeous.

It's interesting but not essential to life, even with Brexit looming. :-)
No Big Bang is better than a bad Big Bang.
Theresa in the end got a big bang, though she really wanted a no-bang
Was the BING Bang the rehearsal for the BIG Bang?
No TCL - it was the precursor of the Walla Walla Bing Bang ...

Was that the Big Bing Bang Bong Baz?
It shows it depends on what you call the "Big Bang". "Tenkanen suggests dark matter was first produced during an era known as the cosmic inflation - when space was expanding very rapidly." I always thought that the "Big Bang"was defined at the start, regardless, and only in the last few years understood some consider it an event part way in.

Then there's the problem with looking at things at the leading edge of our knowledge. One can choose to favour whichever conjecture appeals to you until the evidence comes in and whittles the possibilities down.
"Dark matter is known to play a crucial role in the formation of galaxies and galaxy clusters, and scientists know it exists because of its gravitational effects on the movement and distribution of visible matter in space."

Bah ! "Know" indeed. Could be something else no one has even thought of yet causing the effects. Dark matter will be the most obvious simplest explanation we have at present.

Not many serious cosmology thinkers here then ?
Whoa, hold on there - I thought god created everything. Isn't that what the permanently deluded would have us believe?

What are your qualifications the Baz?

I'm a star ship captain - I know about these matters
From the permanently deluded :- (also amateur cosmologist)
Everything came from nothing.
Theland, you still have never explained where "God" came from... just that he was always there?
God is immaterial, a spirit, and yes, eternal without beginning or end.
That sounds incredibly unlikely, theland. Where did he really come from? This looks like a lot of wishful thinking to me x
And where did he create the earth from, even if you were right?
Pixie - you are thinking from a purely materialistic viewpoint and like most people find it incredible.
But there is a spiritual dimension, many people believe in spirituality like ghosts, Angels, visions dreams etc.
The spirit world is real, and not finite like ours.
I know many believe that, Theland, and their choice of course. Personally, I would need just the slightest shred of proof first.
