I am trying to find out which number shirt was Brian Kidd wearing when he played for Man United in the 1968 European Cup Title. Thanks.

In those days the convention was for players to wear their 'position number' on their shirt, rather than their 'squad number' as nowadays.

So, unless there was some reason for BK to change his shirt, he should have been wearing No 8 at centre forward:

Way back when No 8 was worn by a player called an Inside Right. The Centre forward was No 9.

If there's still any doubt left, click on the title in ABerrant's Youtube video. That will open it up on the Youtube website, so that you can see a bigger image. Then move the time bar forward to 4:20, where Kidd scores United's 3rd goal and you can clearly see the number 8 on his back.
