The spraying and wiping down of tables and chairs outside with anti-bacteria solution. After every single use. Isn’t this a tad excessive as I’ve read the virus is not normally know to infect from chairs etc outside exposed to sunlight etc.

the rule says that surfaces should be cleaned between customers and in view of customers. It doesn't specify with what.

It all depends on what the scientists say.
It's surprising how many places are using anti-bacterial spray for wiping down; covid-19 is a virus so anti-bacterial stuff is no use .
I don't think scientists know enough about this virus yet so the more precautions taken, the better
If it's seen to be done, it shows potential customers that the owners of the premises are taking it seriously. Rather too much than none at all.
Tables, yes - less necessary for the chairs I'd say.
Interesting, danny. Some anti-bacterials work against Covid-19, some don't; unless you know for certain the one you are using does work you're wasting your time using it. The initial wisdom was that alcohol-based work, so they're the ones to use.
so long as it 70% it works, thats what we have in hospitals most you buy are 70%
i could never understand in the far east spraying roads and walls down ??
I suppose they were probably using what they already had.
Interesting, sanmac. I've got a vision of the offender being given an internal probe; I can't see what a colonoscopy would achieve.
Thank goodness he wasn't working behind the bar.
A good establishment will and should clean tables between seating...covid or no covid. I'd certainly feel a bit more reassured if it's anti bac being used.
Better to be safe that sorry.
I've never objected when anyone's tried to wipe down a chair or table in any restaurant where I've eaten. I couldn't care less whether it's "necessary", I'm just pleased to see them doing it automatically.
Sunlight does not kill covid 19!
Some people in the park today rinsed their hands with anti-bac after stroking my Cockers.
Stroking your what ??
Your what!!!!!
So would I be!!
Cocker Spaniels - I have three.
What else would I mean?
