Just Had Chat With My Tesco Delivery Driver..... !
53 Answers
I ordered just a couple more things than normal - couple of extra cartons of milk, and couple loaves of bread for freezer.( loo rolls were ‘unavailable’ for 2nd week running). He delivered 7 crates to the door, which I thought was a lot.
The guy dropped it all off and said ‘thank god for a small delivery!”. What do you mean I said. He said that people have gone so insane bulk buying that he has been delivering FIFTY - SIXTY crates to individual households!! Hundreds of loo rolls, hand washes etc......
Mad!!

If you think about it, it's the one essential that you really can;t do without.
Just about anything else you can manage without, or substitute something else, but loo roll is something every single person uses every day, and it's the first thing people panic about not having - hence panic buying, which leads to shortages and ... more panic buying!!

Oh this is mad. Just recently I couldn’t buy more than two bottles of the same wine. I need loads of wine. I’m not stockpiling!
My dad (who I shop for) asked me if people were panic buying loo rolls again, because of what he’d read in the papers.
I’ve seen no stockpiling so far but now the rumours are going around people will grab all the loo rolls.
