Holocaust Memorial Day
16 Answers
Today marks 77 years since the liberation of Auschwitz. Millions of Jews, Romas, travellers and minorities were killed by a machine that threatened the very fabric of civilisation.
In a mere 10 years or so there will be no living eyewitnesses left.
It is a harrowing experience to go there or to any of the Nazi Death Camps but I'm glad I did.
Never forget.

I live a few miles from Beth Shalom the National Holocaust Centre,in Laxton and it's well worth visiting though a might harrowing when you realise just what people are capable of.So if you are interested in the holocaust and you're in Notts pop in and see what you think.I'm not sure if you have to book now so give them a bell at 01623 836627 to check.
I’ve visited Holocaust memorials all over the world including Israel’s Yad Vashem, but among all the indescribable horrors I’ve seen one sight epitomises it all for me - the remaining wall of the ghetto in Krakow, Poland, built of slabs resembling Jewish tomb stones. I have never been able to get my head around the sick mind that conceived that design. I’ve got goose bumps as I type this.
