"extreme hoarders" - sounds like a mental problem there, really. Do carers get vetted, or is it just taken for granted they'll do the job without ever being checked up on?

Not to excuse any of the sorry tale but there was a time in this country when folk with obvious mental and physical problems got the help they needed.

Now they get handed sixty quid and ignored until it's too late.
