It's probable the answer you were looking for was July 4, 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was ratified in Philadelphia and signed by delegates on August 2. However, actual independence was not achieved until the formal end of the war which did not occur until the Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3, 1783 and the United States Congress ratified the it on January 14, 1784. The last British troops left New York City on November 25, 1783....

As you are probably aware, most Americans are full of the **** that they deserve to be full of. They have only achieved independance from their own facist *******!!! If you ask me (which I'm sure you won't coz you're *****!) we should napalm the american ******** and live happily ever after.
