Details of the Panama Canal locks are here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panama_Canal_locks Looks like there are 3 sets of named locks, but one set has 3 chambers, one 2 chambers and one just 1 chamber, so arguably there are in fact 6 separate lock stages.

googled loads of 6 L but can only come up with 3 locks in the panama canal sorry
