these 'theories' are exactly that - theories! they are not fact and people shouldn't be judged on something so simple that takes no other factors into account.
it is very flawed reasoning
Many years ago my History teachers limp handshake got me off a boll*cking from my dad, as he came back from the parent teacher meeting having been told that I talked all the way through class, I didn't try hard enough blah blah... My dad decided that the man's handshake was so much like a (and I quote) wet fish, that he didn't take stock of anything he said!!
Thing is, he wasn't such a bad bloke, he was confident, well in front of a class of 15 year olds he was, he came across as trustworthy to us, he just had a crappy handshake .... mind you he was a labour supporter ... ;o)
