The village is Ide in Devon and the church is St Ida

Transliteration would be something like NIPSON ANOMEMATA, ME MONAN OPSIN' - "wash (my/your)sins not only (my/your) face." Can be read either as appeal to God or injunction to the worshipper. Have seen it inscribed in a little old church in Greece when on holiday.
