Russia has been threatening to nuke the UK, and they have the support of Iran, North Korea, and China. Some of our politicians dismiss Putin's threats as bluff and sabre-rattling. Yet he has certainly acted on his threats elsewhere. Life just goes on as normal here, so presumably most people aren't concerned. Should we be, and if so what should we be doing to prepare in case it happens?

I'm ordering in 3-5 years' supply of tinned food & bottled water & I've put in a planning application for a nuclear bunker (I hope it gets approved in time!).🤣
(If there is a nuclear strike on the UK I want to be exactly where the first bomb hits.)

Vulcan42, 'his beloved Russia'? Well he doesn't seem to give two hoots about its people. For many years now he's suppressed them in his harsh regime, had protestors put away and rivals bumped off, and sent enormous numbers off to inevitable deaths in his unnecessary and illegal war which most Russian folk probably don't want even if they darent say
We should be taking them less seriously or we will be stymied by our own reaction to Russian sabre rattling.
Putin doesn't so much act on threats but acts as he denies he intends to, or even while actually commiting them.
You either stand up to these types or permit them and encourage other tyrants to do the same as they.
Besides if a nuke came our way either we already have the ability to stop it or we don't. Worrying about it beforehand is no help. We either stand up for what's right, or we hide cowering away until it's our turn to be hit & invaded.
