Is there any way the electorate or others could force a general election or would we be stuck with it for the next 4 years? As far as I see it under our system there would be nothing we could do about it.

No, a general election isn't going to happen.  To change PM, however, what it would need is for Labour MP's to arrange a vote of no confidence in their leader, which would trigger a leadership election.  This is unlikely to happen.

doesn't matter - it's gonna be bloody awful whoever is Labour PM

But Starmer is a far-left socialist. Or are you being ironic?

Even Germany(DDR) couldn't make socialism work and come to mind no other country has.

Like it or like it not, there will not be another General Election until 2029.

I meant someone even further left of starmer if that's possible

There is no way to force a GE without the cooperation of the Labour party.

Bed made, must be endured.

dougie you seriously think labour are not screwing this up?

dougie and the rest are suffering from red eye its obvious.

No I don't believe that as you know full well but the current mob don't exist in a vacuum.

The previous incumbents laid the ground for this lot, they're all mentalists one way or another.

"The previous incumbents laid the ground for this lot" - they inherited the strongest economy in the G7 dougie. Now they've flushed it down the kasi out of spite.
