I read a statistic a couple of years ago - and consider that Mr Gates' fortune increases on a minut-by-minut basis - that advised that if his fortune was divided up among the populatiopn of the planet, every single man woman and child would receive $3 each. It fair boggles the mind.

You must bear in mind that Microsoft is easily the most powerful company on earth. Along with BP, Exxon etc. their turnover exceeds the GDP of most countries and they could if so wished start a war.
