i saw a programme on after school when i was younger, there were lots of people in it (children/teens i think) and they were running away from these kids they knew that had glowing green eyes. Sounds really sad, i can't remember what its called, what the plot was or anything. The most distinct memory i have of it was of a child spying on these creepy kids and then s/he quickly drew back and stood with his/her back to the wall because they'd been spotted by one of them. Sorry it's vague and thanks in advance for replies.

thanks ppl, i've checked out all the suggestions but the problem is i didn't know the name at the time, it's not a case of forgetting it. The Demon Headmaster looks like a likely candidate but i remember watching it avidly...as i can't organise my childhood memories into any kind of chronological order i don't know whether i started watching that later. I don't know if it was the 1991 Dark Season because i was only born in 1989 lol. i googled the images but none ring any bells. Thanks again x
