What do you mean?
"Does anyone believe the central conjecture of the Da Vinci Code about Jesus line having continued into the present day?"
Yes. It's a long established theory that some people believe.
"Does anyone believe Opus Dei are really that evil?"
Yes - some people think it is a mind control cult. Others disagree.
"Why are people reading the Da Vinci Code; it's really badly written?"
Because, despite all that, it's a cracking holiday read. Anyway, it's not especially noteworthily bad - Jeffery Archer's ten times worse. The only people getting upset are those who seem to think it was trying to be something else.

The whole thing about him pinching the story is tosh, isn't it? If, as the authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail maintain, the story they uncovered is true and not fiction, what grounds have they got to stop someone using it as the background to their fiction?
'Hey, you're using real events as the backdrop to fiction!'
Whatever next!
