What exactly do you mean by a true religion..?? All religion is based on a belief. As such it can neither be proved nor disproved to be "true".

Islam is a true religion, in the sense that its a belief in a superbeing with supernatural powers. Not much different in that than Christianity and Judaism, they just worship in different ways.

Birth rate is declining in the west and increasing in the east, and hence this infers that the muslim population will increase. However, this baby boom is predicted to end about 2020 or 2030. A good book on the subject is 'The Clash of Civilizations' by Samuel Huntington. A bit right wing, not in the nazi sense, but in the isolationist/national sense of individualism.

But nevertheless it is still a nice intro and a fairly readable book.

It is believed by some that there are both truths and inaccuracies in all of the major world religions (really?? surely not??). Once this occurs, there will no longer be the need for war, terrorism or other types of conflicts based on different religious or spiritual beliefs.

All religion will be dead in a hundred years. Science and technology will take over. People will become more informed and rational and realise that there is no God/Allah/ Superbeing, those that do will be locked up in order to stop them causing war. The rest will work together to cure hunger, disease and world poverty instead of waiting on some non existent being to descend or ascend onto our planet and save us. We will look after one another and then find ways to explore the universe and space to see what really exists "up there".

Sonofthunder I was simply putting forward an alternative to religion. I consider my "self" to be charitable but am not religious. And do you think my proposal is more bizarre than one which involves believing in being that no-one has ever seen or can prove exists and that when we die we go to some "other" better place!!! C'mon, whos living on another world now. Also if we concentrated on helping ALL the people of the world we would not need charitable organisations. You may call me a dreamer, but I' not the only one.

Well it's a personal view, but I look forward to the day when humankind finally turns its back on myth and superstition and the last embers of religion, whatever form it may take, die out. It has brought nothing but division, bloodshed, bigotry and violence to the world, and I agree with patc who says that science and technology will take over. Not that this is necessarily better, but at least humanity will know that it is in control of its own fate, as it has been all along. There is no answer to your troubles in the sky.

People Who fo;;ow Jesus are called Christians.But Jesus himself lived according to the Laws of Moses.,who received it from God.Abraham lived by the code of Laws given to him and followed the teachings of the Messengers of God .Muslims follow the laws of all Prophets,.All the messengers of God submitted themselves to the commands of god.This is the meaning of Islam. this definition alone makes Islam the only religion.

By the way if some one reads the Bible they may be surprised to find that Jesus never commanded people to worship him or his mother.Before the 'crucifixion' Jesus prayed 7 times for the cup to be taken away,A man whose prayers to feed 1000s of people and cure the ill and raise the dead are accepted and answered,what makes us think that his last ones are not.

We are not Christians ,,We are Paulians ..The man who never met ,the Master..Who never lived by the laws of Moses ..suddenly becomes the holy warrior..Our religion has been corrupted at the very core.

Jesus said 'I am here to uphold the Laws(of Moses) not to break them'.

I really want you to pay attention to my answer I AM a Muslim not an Arabian Orthadox Muslim but a Black Muslim. Some people in your answers said Islam is just like Christany and Judaism but it is not Christany teaches that God is in the sky a spirt a thing that you can not see. It teaches that you can not see God until you die. One there has never been any proof that anyone has seen God when they die. Islam teachesthat God is a MAN that you can see before you die we teach that the Blackman was the first on the planet the first the original. we do not believe that when you die you will see God because when you die the earth has to use your body you transmutate and you are gone.
