listen to the song, it is brilliant.
This year my partner woke me up with the news that ******* had just been hit with an atomic bomb.
I sat up - pole straight - and went into a (very predictable) rage about how volatile relations are, and who the **** would do such a stupid thing etc....etc...etc.....
My partner then grinned and declared with glee 'April fool!'
Now, usually I would react with something like, 'If' (by some miracle) 'I get up before you next year - I'll get you back - you great big ****** *****' however, this year, I didn't need to react like that at all.
I got out of bed, gave him a smile as I passed to the kitchen, found a pad and pen (an absolute double wammy in our house!) and wrote him a message in large letters. It read...
TODAY'S DATE IS 31st MARCH -WHO'S THE DADDY NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!
I put a notice on the 'bulletin board' at our office stating that.. "Pranks and practical jokes relating to 'April fools day', are in contradiction to the company's working practice and anyone found to be in breach of this will face disciplinary action."
I did get a bit of a 'ticking off' for posting an unauthorised notice but that was the only 'April fool' at our work this year.
