What does the B stand for in B&Q DIY

I know the Q stands for Quentin has I used to frequent the store in Birmingham in 1979 it was on the high street then. But what does the B stand for.

I don't think the answer given is correct, has I said I used to go to the store the name over it was B?&Quentin.
Sorry Wild Reality but JulieEve is correct. It is definately Block and Quayle. Opened in the 1960s, first store was in Southampton.

Thank you for your answer it is correct, Block&Quale were the founders.
For some reason I used to think it stood for Better & Quicker! So what does DFS stand for is it Damn Fine Sofas? I'll have to post a question now.
Graham Kirkham founded Northern Upholstery in 1968 based in Doncaster, the firm bought Darley Furniture Stores and used the initials when listing on the Stock Exchange, hence DFS
