dot.hawkes--it truly is a small world. What was your husband's granddad's last name? Thanks a million. Other names that are relative to my search are Clutterbuck, Melville[from Middlesex] and Davidson. Do you also know how I can trace the history of---The 19th Queen Alexandra'sOwn Royal Hussars.

There's some info here about the Regiment and it may be a good place to start (the name's in a different order so you may have better luck looking for it under that name.)
dot.hawkes---Thanks for the name. My husband's grandmother lived there also as a child. Her name was Edith Rose Purcell. Her mother was the Lily Bell that I was looking for information on.Her father David Purcell, her brother Charles Purcell, and Her Mother Lily [bell] Purcell are all buried there. Chances are they knew Edward Vincent.I will ask Edith's brother ,who is still living ,if he remembers him
