If You Had A Twin, But Didn't Realise...
Family Life0 min ago
Ok, my ex broke up with me 5 months ago and ever since then he is in my dreams almost every night! Never normally anything major and I guess its just a habit as I was with him for 5yrs so my brain hasn't reprogrammed yet to stop dreaming about him and at the moment there hasn't really been another guy to take his place in the dream stakes! But the last couple of nights I've started having really weird dreams about him, where me and him are back together but he is trying desperately to make it up to me for leaving me. Its almost like I am dreaming of me and him having a fresh start! Its very weird and I haven't dreamt about him like this in months and months but the last 3-4 nights I keep having the same kind of dreams!!
I am not asking someone to interpret these dreams but does anyone have any ideas why my brain has suddenly switched and I am dreaming that I have him back??
Thanks, Ruby xx

Don't worry, personal is my middle name. Lol.
When me and him first broke up I did want him back but he left me for someone else and was with her 1 week after we split so I think most of what I was going through was the rejection of that aswell. I don't think I want him back as I do feel like I've moved on and now I know he wasn't right for me as we both changed alot in 5yrs. I don't want him back but I want him to ask. I want him to come back and say he was sorry and he made a mistake, so I can say 'thanks but no thanks'. I think that would be closure for me.
Ruby, I can understand exactly how you feel. I was with my boyfriend for 4 years, within 2 weeks he had met someone else. I have hardly been out socially since we split,so have not met anyone, and have no intention of doing so either.
But the closure bit, its how I feel, each day I tend to think of him, want him to ring, or text and ask me back, so I can say No. I think its also about having a bit of power back. When your are the person who was ditched, (sorry cant think of another word) but how I feel. You feel powerless, it, was'nt your doing the ditching, but you want the opportunity to do it back.
God, I am rambling, I hope you can understand it. And I guess thats why you are dreaming about him, and the whole situation. xx
Hey Peter,
No I haven't seen him since we broke up. I did bump into him and his skank, oops I mean girlfriend in town about 2 months after we split. I also went round to the house we shared one night as she was there and he had promised never to let her in there. But that was about 3 months ago aswell and since then I haven't seen him. I have spoken to him on the phone about once a month since and I had to call him 2 weeks ago coz our rabbit died. (It was the rabbit me and him bought together).
Alice,
Thats totally what it is I think. Thats how I feel. I am out tonight in town and bound to see him and her and I just want him to see me and think 'Oh no, what have I done. I made a mistake'.. I doubt that will ever happen and I don't think it will ever happen whilst I want it to happen.
I had this discussion with my auntie and her friend and my auntie had the same thing done to her by her first boyfriend and he left her for another. He broke up with her on her birthday! (Harsh)! And she wanted him to say he regretted it and he is now married to the woman he left my auntie for and 30yrs later he bumped into my auntie and he told her he still thinks about her and he made a mistake. He even tried to start up an affair with her.. but she said 'No thanks'. Must have felt great. Plus her friend got dumped (horrible word) by her ex and 2 yrs later he came back and tells her he loves her and made a mistake and she always thought she wanted him and when he came back she slept with him and then turfed him out! Good girl! Lol
