Has anyone had any bad experiences with recruitment agencies?i had an interview 2 weeks ago for a job,the guy who interviewed me more or less offered me the job,But the manageress of the agency wanted to interview me as well so i had to go back 2 days later.that went well and she said that she would get the guy who interviewed me to give me a ring later in the day but never did.any ideas a to what went wrong?its put me off these agencies as a waste of time.

Yep recruitment agencies are crap! I'm a student and i've worked with quite a few, and all they are interested in is their targets and making money, they don't give a damn about the employee. And they take most of your money, as they get paid a fortune, whereas the employee, who is actually doing the work gets left with peanuts. Maybe you should have called back to follow it up and see what was happening, but as a general rule, unless you're REALLY desperate, i'd steer clear of agencies.
