Foo Fighters and Green Day tunes

Hi all,
Trying to come up with some slower, love type songs that my boyfriend will like, and I know he likes Foo Fighters and Green Day. Can anyone help with songs that are more love songs by these groups and not too hard? I remember one by Foo Fighers but can't think of it exactly...something about "i'm on your side" or "I want you back."

Foo fighters song 'Walking After You' is a tearjerker. I bet a lot of couples have got that as their song because it's so nice.

It's on The Colour and The Shape. There are a few other tracks on there that are love songs like 'My Hero' and 'Everlong'.

Everlong (Foo Fighters) brings tears to my eyes but only coz it was the last ever song Natasha( "Tash" )played on xfm. The pain has eased a little now she has surfaced on Radio 6.

Billy Joe armstrong has done an accoustic solo called Minnesota Girl which is really nice. Trouble is the only virsion i could get is really cap quality but still a nice song.
