They say she saw her complexion turn rosier, so believed she was growing younger.

It is estimated that c. 650 young girls were tortured by this
'lady', and then murdered.
At her trial, two accomplices, Iloona Joo and Dorothea
Szentes, were sentenced to have their fingers torn out by
the public executioner, then thrown alive onto a fire.
At the same trial, January 1611, Elspeth was condemned to be walled-up in her own castle. She died July, 1614.
