Evolution and Art
How has our appreciation of art evolved in terms of genetical evolution ? My understanding of evolution is that a new 'feature' would have had to help us live longer and be more reproductive to become a permenant feature in a species, but I can't see how early man with art apreciation had any significant advantage over pleibian early man. ( No creationists please - I hoping for a scientific answer. )
