I wonder if anyone can point me in right direction on this. Is there anywhere online where perhaps i could find out the history of the building my flat is in.
The original house probably dates back to 1840/1850 due to the style of sash windows.
For as long as i can remember it has been a shop / restaurant downstairs and flats above (30 years) but i was hoping to find any info on its history. Ive discovered that the name of the street has been changed over the years but the house name has changed too and i dont know the original. obviously the number in the street has been changed as well so i cant trace it that way.
any ideas? Im trying to search its history as I think i have a resident ghost.

The deeds should show it all.
If you are a tenant & don't have access to deeds try Parish Records....details from local library.
