Does anyone know if British Lancaster bombers ever flew with American Flying Fortresses in the WW2?

Mostly the B17s flew the daylight raids, and the Lancs flew the night raids. But I think towards the end of the war they did do mixed raids.

Some American Flying Fortresses were used by the RAF for ground and nightfighter radar jamming at night during Lancaster bombing raids, these operation were very secret and little was known about them until resently. As the Flying Fortresses used by the USAAF were strictly daylight bombers and Lancasters were almost always used for night raids they would not usualy fly together, possibly crossing over the north sea some times. There could be the remote possibility of them operating together on humanitarion supply dropping missions at the very end or just after the end of the war.

My thanks to colin6789 - very informative - would welcome any written evidence - there's a wager at stake on this one!
I will need to look back as my backnumbers of Flypast Magazine for more information on the Radar jamming but here are a couple of web sites that have some information.
www.ekco-radar.co.uk/jostle/jostle.php and www.cnam.co.uk/100Gp/RAF_100_Group_Newsletter_Summer_2006.pdf.
Also I have just remembered that the RAF used B17s for dropping spies and other clandestine operations as they did not rate it as a bomber as the max bomb load not much larger than a mosquito. Its long range and high altitude capability made it useful for clandestine operations. They would sometimes fly with night time bomber raids to cover there operations.
Give you more info later
