The official cause of death is suicide by sleeping pills, but there has long been a suspicion that either President Kennedy, or his brother Bobby was was the Atourney General, had her murdered to conceal her affairs with both of them. We'll probably never know.

She was recruited by the US Government to travel forward in time to murder Princess Diana and Dodi, because secretly they knew that the moon landings were a fake. Having done this she travelled back in time, but couldn't keep her mouth shut. So years later the Goverment recruited Elvis Presley to travel back in time to kill her, which he did succesfully. However, not knowing what his Government had done, JFK found out, so Elvis had to bump him off too. On returning back to his own time, Elvis couldn't live with what he had done, and killed himself on the lavatory.

Accident. The most recent independent investigation concluded that she had taken lots of sleeping pills in the preceding days and that toxicity had built up in her body. The lack of lots of pills in her stomach (as concluded at the autopsy) showed she didn't intend to commit suicide, while the high level of prescription drugs in her bloodstream (which killed her) was due to a build up over time. It was just a sad, tragic accident. No conspiracy, no cover-up.
