whose clued up on east and west germany?
are there still problems in east germany?
in what areas do the two sides still differ?

yes but it is still examined it terms of sides by experts.

It can only be examined as East & West prior to re-unification in 1990. Since then there has been no East & West - only one Germany.

yes but lots of statistics on the web detail the differences according to east and west still.
also it can be divided up into east and west still by determining east as the 5 'new' states.

Here are a few links that might give you an idea. We looked at reunification and the differences that remained when I did my A-level but that was yrs ago now, I'm not sure if it's still in syllabus.
