Does anyone remember a case of a Mrs. Elliott who died after medical intervention during a pregnancy in the 1920's? Apparently some surgical instruments were left inside Mrs. Elliott and the MEN took up the case and eventually paid for her burial. I am trying to find out the date and more details.

I did do a little bit of research into this query when it was first asked, i took it that the MEN referred to the manchester Evening News newspaper, I know that their archive is kept at the Manchester Record Office and is indexed. the MEN's own website was not much help. i also assumed that it would have been initially reported in other publications, but there is no information on the question to say where Mrs Elliott was from.
