Hi. I'm new to answerbank and was wondering if there is sonmeone out there who can help me solve the following clues for a localy run quiz.

(eg 1912 - TS of the T = The Sinking of the Titanic)

1991 End of P T
1999 T E of the S

Tight teasers. 1999 query: The end of the s(c)hilling. Cannot remember British or German currency before euro!!!

where are you from starmack? Britain doesn't have the euro! The German currency was the mark, the schilling was Austrian

Yeah, forgot that Britain was the only main State in modern Europe which didnt sign up to the euro. We all have the same currency now! Re: the schilling; apologies.

starmack - Britain is not the only country not signed up to the Euro - Cyrprus still has the pound, Denmark the krone and Sweden the krona
