I've heard that the Romans' biggest battle was in Kent. Where? Is it commemorated in some way?

Yes, indeed there was a two-day Battle of the Medway in 43AD, which was recorded by Roman historian Cassius Dio. A learned paper on the battle has been written by Nigel Nicolson and I'm just trying to get hold of a copy.
