what was the first village in england to have covered sewers. (it was on a tv programme a few weeks ago (i think it was how britain was built) anyway i cant remember the town/village but they took wool there and i think they spun it and died it.
might be Todmorden actually, where the River Calder divides, but not sure really, but I have a vague recollection that wool was Yoprkshire and stopped about there and the cotton spinning of lancashire began, with it being on the border.
