There have been certain difficult points in my life where I've felt that I've been 'on rails' - as if it doesn't matter what I do, things'll be ok and so far, things have been. I've been told my a psychic that I'm looked after by a woman called Elizabeth, which is very nice of her indeed. I know that this sounds demented to a lot of people but I don't care, so nerr!

No. If you believe in guardian angels because, for example:
I have been in too many scrapes and come out alive not to believe in them.
This can be simply explained. Suppose you find yourself in a situation where the chances of not dying are 1 in 100. Well, one out of every hundred people will survive that. That's not too uncommon, supposing the life-threatening event is something common, such as being struck by a car. If you naturally have strength of mind and are physically fit, your personal odds of surviving might rise to 20 to 1. This alone is no proof that an "angel" likes you and altering your life from afar to keep you alive.
If you survive three situations similar to the above (all 1 in 20 chance of survival), well that's still only a 1 in 8000 chance of surving overall. There are probably 7999 people who died while you lived (on average). But, of course, it is inherent to being dead that your opinion is not made widely known. It must seem remarkable that you are alive against the odds, but really, you have just been lucky when thousands of others before you have not. If you had been unlucky, it would not seem like anything at all, you see, so the only possible thing that someone who has faced death many times can feel is'lucky. Or in some cases, blessed.

If you're still interested, yes. I saw mine when I was 4 (long memory) in a mirror in my houseand I know it wasn't a dream. Believe me or not, it won't change my mind. She had blond hair and big earrings so not your stereotypical guardian angel but hey fashions change! And no it wasn't my Mum or a visitor.
